This website is a photographic journey along relics of World War I which can still be found on the Western Front today. Relics like trenches, bunkers, shellholes, monuments made during the war, camps, watertowers, (former) cemeteries, murals etc. In short: traces left behind by the men who fought and died during World War I.
Most photo pages will be supplemented with postcards send by soldiers during the war, to give an idea of what life was like a hundred years ago.
